Please join SunLaw and Fenwick for an intimate, guided discussion over dinner bringing together women in the legal field. With AI and other emerging technologies, allegations of financial or other misconduct are increasing for both public and private companies and data related risks have increased. Issues can arise from multiple sources—third party threat actors, investors, competitors, media outlets and current and former employees and the government—and often arise at critical times in a company’s lifecycle.
The clock rarely stops while companies investigate allegations of misconduct. Our discussion will focus on assessing the risk, managing your constituencies, and the practices that allow companies to investigate while avoiding unnecessary delays in critical business milestones.
We’ll focus on the critical questions that need to be addressed including:
Assessing the scope and risk
Who to tell and when
Who runs the investigation
Managing the Board, Management, Auditors, Banks, and other constituents
Protecting privilege
We’ll also discuss practical real world case studies including:
Privacy, personal data incident surfacing on the eve of a product launch or financing
Corruption allegations and government investigations in the face of a pending merger
Pre-IPO allegations of fraud
Allegations of financial fraud on the eve of filing quarterly or annual reports with the SEC
Join fellow women lawyer leaders for a night of great food and even better conversation. We hope you can join us for a fun-filled evening of inspiring discussion and networking with your peers.
